Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. Parents are Manny James as well as Patty James. He is the son of Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. When he graduated of Sanderson High School, in 2010 he enrolled at Wake Forest University and obtained the Bachelor's degree in Economics. James gained fame when he made his on-screen debut as a reality star on The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 to be the next bachelor for The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James is the perfect candidate for the job, because he's well-rounded tall, large and has great humor. Rachael krkconnell was chosen to be his partner for the season. In 2021, he joined forces with the famous dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th.
